Brighton based three piece garage punk band Honeybadger, released their latest single ‘Back Home’ on 26th July 2023. Featuring heavy guitar riffs, melodic solos and Eddy’s gritty grungy vocal the track emphasises the frustration about lifes minor inconveniences.

Honeybadger was formed in 2014 by brothers Joe and Eddy and friend Luca. The Brighton based garage punks regularly gig in and around Brighton with an upcoming show in Prince Albert on 7th August. Previous single ‘Cold Wind’ featured on Nels Hylton’s ‘Future Alternative’ Show on Radio One. Influenced by the likes of Drenge, Them Crooked Vultures, Pretty Vicious and The White Stripes, they class their music as rock with heavy punk and grunge influence.

Eddy states “Back Home is a track about finally snapping after being so patient with someone who won’t even meet you halfway. It’s just a tune about one of the many minor frustrations in life. We’re not trying to change the world… it’s one minute to midnight… Let’s have it!”. The foundations of the track ‘Back Home’ were laid by Eddy and Joe, as part of a

streak of demos they “bashed up” in a tiny, dark box room with an amp and drum kit as a way to escape from the normal conventions of life. These demos have since evolved in the studio into huge tracks all set to be released over the coming months.

‘Back Home’ is the first single to be released from their upcoming spate of energetic, spiky rock singles due to drop throughout the rest of 2023 and beginning of 2024.
