Following a successful four-year tenure as a Regional plugger & promoter for EMI, Jo Hart went on to help set up the highly successful Size Nine Promotions. Three years later she decided to go it alone and created Jo Hart PR in July 1997.
From these seeds Hart Media was born. Hart Media leads the way in Regional, Specialist (National and Regional) Student/College/University and Online Radio promotions. Along with Online PR, Management Consultancy, International Promotions and Publishing.
In the years since its inception it has built up rock-solid foundations with the key players in the Music and Radio industries and excels in getting the very best results for its artists. Hart Media prides itself on the close relationship it has with its Heads of Music, Specialist DJs, Online PR and Student/College/University DJs. These are relationships that have been nurtured and developed through the years thanks to Hart Media’s friendly, knowledgeable and diligent team.
Over the years Hart Media has been behind the success stories of campaigns for Blondie, Jamie Cullum. Britney Spears, Jools Holland, The Gossip, Agnes, The Proclaimers, Gallows, Moloko, Bob Sinclar, The Pretenders, Gary Jules, Justin Timberlake, M People, Dame Shirley Bassey, Enter Shikari, Roll Deep, The Overtones, Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler, Siouxsie Sioux, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Usher, Alison Krauss, Sash!, Robert Miles and Republica to name but a few.

It’s always a pleasure working with Jo Hart and her team, they are experts in their field and achieve strong results from their promotion. They have put together impressive promo schedules for our artists to get the best out of regional radio trips, and are full of great ideas for each campaign. I’d recommend them to anyone.
Dave Rogers (MITA Records)
Without exception, Jo Hart and her team at Hart Media are the absolute best in the business. Their process is simple – tell them what you want, and they deliver it. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
In my 18 years as a tour manager I can with hand on heart say that NO media company has come close to the level of professionalism that Hart Media reaches. Jo Hart and her amazing team go above and beyond something the so called “major” players in the same line of work never seem to achieve.
Gary Howard (The Agency Group)
I have had the pleasure of working with Hart Media for many years and with a variety of bands, both young and established. Jo is always positive and delivers every time – knowing you have a team that will work as hard as you on a project is what you want. I love working with Hart Media and they are always my first choice.
David Rowell (Autonomy Music Group)

She has an enviable roster and can work artists in every genre with foresight and immense detail. Hart Media is a reflection of Jo’s leadership. Diligent, friendly and the best in their field. I can highly recommend working with Jo and her team. You will not be disappointed.
Rachael Sage (Mpress Records)
We have worked with Hart Media for a half dozen of our releases now, and they have become a vital, integral part of our promotional team in the UK. From helping lineup on-air radio performances to servicing regional radio to helping oversee our broader touring and distribution efforts, Jo Hart and her hardworking staff are organized, detail-oriented, creative and enthusiastic. Most importantly, they are excellent at what they do and have the contacts needed to help our artists continue to build a strong presence in the UK market.
As the world of popular music continues to develop and excite at a furious pace, you need a committed and diligent promotions team that will deliver for you and your artist across the UK time and time again.

The big cheese, the main fromage, the tip-top Edam. Is there anything Jo hasn’t achieved in the music business? Okay, so she never sang with Elvis or played a flaming banjo but other than that there isn’t much else she hasn’t done. After joining EMI back in 1990 as a mere slip of a lass, Jo has gone on to work with everyone from Jools Holland to Justin Timberlake and has been plugging independently for a whopping 19 years. Oh and Chris Moyles thinks she has great legs too. Does life get any better?
Introverted is not a word you’d use to describe Poppy. After finishing a degree in Songwriting (yes, it does exist!), she turned to the world of music business to help break unsigned artists. When Poppy’s not training for a triathlon, you’ll probably find her seeking out a happy hour in a cocktail bar in Soho or dad dancing to House music at Corsica Studios. Failing that, follow the gluten free cake crumbs and she may be stuffing her face in the Hart Media office.
It’s safe to say Dor has tried his hand at the more unusual things in life. Having travelled the world as a professional downhill mountain biker, skateboarding journalist and skeleton luge racer, speed and danger has always been one step behind. But don’t think for a second that he isn’t music through: Dor has performed on some big stages, including Glastonbury festival as well as the only slightly smaller Glostonebury festival in Gloucester. If you need something to brighten up your day, tell Dor a joke, his laugh is something that needs to be heard to be believed…
With a serious case of dancing feet, Beth’s love for music started off in the theatre, learning to dance at the mere age of three. Growing up in a house full of David Bowie and Joy Division, later joined by her influential older brother’s Linkin Park and Green Day preferences, she turned her ears to rock music. Much to the distaste of her ballet teacher! Since leaving college at eighteen, Beth has been stumbling about in different roles within the industry, before landing in the safe and crazy hands of Hart Media. When she’s not convincing the office to have a 5pm choccy break, you can certainly find her putting er dance lessons to use in Camden with cocktail in hand!
The young songstress Chloë Rona is back with a new dark electronic track called “Cruel Intentions”. Chloë has already pre release picked up support from Fortitude Magazine, who writes: “Brimming with intense lyrical concepts and raw vocals, Chloe’s ability to marry her songwriting style with state of the art production and striking imagery has seen […]
