Team
Jo Hart - The Boss
The big cheese, the main fromage, the tip-top Edam. Is there
anything Jo hasn't achieved in the music business? Okay, so she
never sang with Elvis or played a flaming banjo but other than
that there isn't much else she hasn't done. After joining EMI
back in 1990 as a mere slip of a lass, Jo has gone on to work
with everyone from Jools Holland to Justin Timberlake and has
been plugging independently for a whopping 14 years. Oh and Chris
Moyles thinks she has great legs too. Does life get any better?
Juliette Joseph aka JJ - Consultant/Promotions Manager
JJ has a zest for life, loves sports and she's a qualified Referee so nothing ever fazes her.
Allegedly, she's got a few years of experience in the music industry under her belt, travelled
the world and is a ambassador of the Global Angels Foundation Charity. Rumour has it that she's
performed on TV doing backing vocals for a renowned 80's pop band. Wonders never cease.
Steve Stone - Promotions Manager
After joining us in March 2010, Steve has blossomed into a highly talented plugger, with a great ear, a winning smile and an enthusiasm last seen on a dextrose-fed puppy. Having fulfilled his life time dream of spending time in a small room with Dave Navarro at this years Reading Festival and hearing tracks from 1998's 'Nothing Shocking' in close proximity. As 2012 dawns Steve is looking to enter the pantheon of music biz greats. And he's the only one in the office who knows how the computers work; so we have to be nice to him.
Zena Zerai - Promotions Assistant
Despite initials that suggest somebody asleep, Zena is nearly always awake in the office. As well as a proven track record as both a performer and music press person, she actually studied law, making her by far the most intelligent person in the office. Unfortunately she has a tendency to shout out "objection!" whenever we put music on.
Sam Lee - Junior Promotions Assistant
Originally from Swindon (but don't hold that against him), Sam has been actively involved with the music industry in one form or another since the tender age of fifteen. After spending the latter part of his teenage years writing for various music magazines and websites, he turned his attentions to promotions in his early twenties. Although a secret Slayer fan, Sam also has a serious soft spot for backing vocals and Sir David Attenborough.
Will Puxley - Junior Promotions Assistant
Will got the job at Hart Media by default. A slightly deaf member of the HR team thought his name was Gill Huxley, great-grandaughter of Brave New World legend Aldous Huxley. Liking to think of ourselves as a cultural lot we jumped at the chance only to be disappointed when Will walked in: very much with a Y chromosome to his name and no literary ancestors. However, his winning smile and knowledge of agricultural vehicles (we're not joking) won us over. Jo Hart still doesn't know he's a Spurs fan.
